Rank #9 in Best Ultrawide Curved Gaming Monitor 2026: 10 Ranked by Spec Sheets
Gawfolk GF490B 49in Dual QHD 120Hz Super Ultrawide Monitor
Price and rating as shown on Amazon when we collected them. Both change.
The Gawfolk GF490B is the 49-inch entry in this guide, at #9, and the widest screen on the list: a 32:9 panel at 5120 x 1440 with a 1500R curve, 120 Hz, a height-adjustable stand and RGB backlighting, listed at £479.96 with 4.2 out of 5 from 1,396 ratings.
The spec table on the same listing is where it gets odd. It calls the resolution '5K QHD 1440p', which is not what 5K means — 5120 x 1440 has half the vertical pixels of a true 5K panel (5120 x 2880). It also gives the item dimensions as 0.5D x 60W x 36H centimetres: a 49-inch 32:9 screen is roughly twice 60cm across, and a monitor with a height-adjustable stand does not sit half a centimetre deep. Two of the reviews quoted further down describe a 27-inch Gawfolk and a 1080p picture, neither of which is this monitor. Everything here is taken from the Amazon listing, not from any testing of our own.
How those 1,396 ratings break down
An average hides its own shape. This is the spread behind the 4.2 stars.

What buyers actually say
Quoted from customer reviews on Amazon
Verified purchase“This monitor is great! The Gawfolk 27 inch Curved monitor is great for gaming as it gives you the best experience and performance. Definitely worth buying.”
Verified purchase“I've been really pleased with this monitor. The curved screen is a nice size for a desk and feels quite immersive when gaming without being so big that you're constantly moving your head around. The picture looks sharp at 1080p and the 120Hz refresh rate makes games and general scrolling feel noticeably smooth. Setup was straightforward and having the speakers built in is handy too. They're perfectly usable for everyday videos and casual gaming, although I'd still use headphones when I want better sound.Overall it has been a really good monitor for everyday use and gaming. It looks smart on the desk, performs well and gives you a lot for the money. Very happy with it so far.”
