Price and rating as shown on Amazon when we collected them. Both change.
The Amazon Basics 6-in-1 hub costs £16.99 and is rated 4.2 stars from 497 ratings, with three USB ports, 100W pass-through charging and an 80 gram aluminium body.
It takes ninth because it is the clearest example of this market's central confusion — a 6-in-1 name over a specification reading three USB ports — and the only listing here that admits its pass-through loses fifteen watts.
How those 497 ratings break down
An average hides its own shape. This is the spread behind the 4.2 stars.

Questions people ask
How many USB ports?
Three, according to its own specification.
Then why is it called 6-in-1?
Because functions are counted, not sockets.
Will it charge a laptop?
It passes through up to 85W of a 100W input.
Why does it lose 15W?
That is the ordinary cost of routing power through a hub, and it is stated here.
Why is it ninth?
Because the name and the port count disagree and the rating is the second-lowest.
How many ratings does it have?
497 at the time of collection, averaging 4.2 stars, with 67 per cent five-star and 8 per cent one-star.
