Verified purchase“Bought this router specifically as the features for the price are pretty much unmatched and I wanted to dip my toe into wifi7.It has decent speeds on all 3 bands, whereas every other router at a similar price point skimp on the speeds somewhere or are just 2 band routers, it's very easy to get confused with so many variations with wifi 7.The chipset used in this router is used in quite a few others and they offer the same speeds but are often twice as much.The operating system this uses is OpenWRT which is opensource with a front end (what you interact with) designed by Cudy. There is a lot to customise if you so wish.I've invested more into the Cudy echo-system by picking up some W3000 mesh AP's to extend the range as I had some outlying wifi needs (garden wifi cameras) and they fixed that, even though the range was much better than my previous router (I'd previously been using some Devolo extenders)Initially It wasnt without faualts however and my problem started as I have an outlying use case, as I run a home email server sat behind this router and I need to configure the DNS and also VPN (as a server) to enable me to access this both at home and when outside my home on mobile etc.I had some advanced user settings - custom DNS issues, and I'd spent a few days emailing support and to be fair they have emailed back each time but only with suggestions that I've already tried. The usual resetting etc didn't help.However after a week or so I received an email directly from Cudy with a beta firmware. This resolved my issue and I've got to say I was so pleased with this level of support.I've rarely if ever, had such an idividual approach from a large organisation.For a 'normal' user with no need to change most of the settings I'd say this is something of a bargain and now, with the latest firmware I can confidently recommend it to advanced users too. I run a pihole and a private email server behind this and they both operate fine locally and remotely when connected to the router via Openvpn or wireguard, which with the latest firmware can run concurrently.It would have been great if there were more lan ports but to honest it would be churlish to down mark it for that. Things like only being 2x2 on the 3 radios on paper look poor but again in reality they make little differnece as there's still no 4x4 clients out there to take advantageOverall I can only rate this as an absolute bargain compared to similar specs of others and I really believe I've had the best customer service I could have wished for”
