Rank #3 in Best Wireless Lavalier Microphone 2026: 10 Ranked by What's in the Box
MAONO Wave T5 Wireless Lavalier Microphone
Price and rating as shown on Amazon when we collected them. Both change.
The MAONO Wave T5 is a wireless lavalier kit sitting at number 3 in this guide, and at £72.18 it is the most expensive product on the list — £13.76 more than the DJI Mic 3 transmitter and £20.18 more than the DJI Mic Mini 2 set. The extra money shows up in the box contents rather than in the badge: MAONO's own contents field runs to two transmitters, three receivers (USB-C, Lightning and camera), a charging case, two necklace silicone cases, four clip magnets, two back clips, two furry windscreens, adapters, cables and a drawstring bag.
Two numbers in the listing do not line up neatly. The bullets describe a 9 g transmitter, while the spec table gives the item weight as 300 g — nothing on the page says whether that 300 g covers one microphone, the pair, or the whole kit with its case. The star breakdown shown adds up to 100 ratings (83 five-star, 9 four-star, 2 three-star, 1 two-star, 5 one-star), while the headline figure is 380 ratings at 4.6 out of 5; those 100 shown average out at 4.6 once rounded. Everything on this page comes from the Amazon listing, not from our own testing.
How those 380 ratings break down
An average hides its own shape. This is the spread behind the 4.6 stars.

What buyers actually say
Quoted from customer reviews on Amazon
Verified purchase“Love this mic.So easy to setup and the mic quality is excellent. The magnet attachement is fantastic and strong, and the kit comes with an assortment of useful attachments.I now mic people up and they say "Is that it . . . wheres the belt pack and the wire?"I laugh. Yep that's it!For use on my PC, I really didn't want a big condensor mic like you see those vloggers using. That's so over the top and unnecessary for online streaming. That's all for show becasue they're on trend at the moment.I've been using these mics for video interviews and the videos played to huge audiences at events. Going through large PA systems . . . more than streaming to computer speakers and headphones. The sound quality is great.I've been recommending them to colleagues in the events industry already. The only thing to remember, is that you have it on. It's so easy to forget that you are still wearing it.It loses connection when out of range, so I'm not concerned that people are listening to me, but often forget to take it off when leaving the studio. That shows you how descreet and unobtrusive the mic is.I use it literally every day!”
Verified purchase“I really loved this microphone at first - easy to connect to my phone, great quality and nice and small. Sadly, however, the receiver unit stopped working. The connection has been getting flaky over the last few weeks and I have often found it has not connected to the microphone after I spent ages recording. Happily, I contacted their support team and got a really quick reply. After following their suggestions, the issue was improved, but clearly , the unit connection wasn't right. They are now sending me a replacement which I am very pleased with. Can't fault their follow-up service and it's a terrific microphone set!”
