Rank #4 in Best Baby Movement Monitors 2026: 10 Ranked, 3 Need a Second Device
Angelcare AC25-1 Movement Monitor with 4.3-inch Video
Price and rating as shown on Amazon when we collected them. Both change.
The Angelcare AC25-1 sits at number 4 in this guide to baby movement monitors. It is a movement monitor with video and sound, built around a wireless pressure sensor pad that goes under the mattress, a screen measuring 4.3 inches with push button operation, and an alarm that sounds after 20 seconds if no micro movements are detected. Angelcare lists no Wi-Fi use, and the reviewer below who moved over from a phone-based camera gives that as part of the reason.
It is also the most expensive unit in this guide at £189.00, and its rating profile is the one to read carefully: 4.1 out of 5 from 90 ratings, with 18 of the stars in the breakdown sitting at one star — 18% of that breakdown. The bars given (69 at five stars, 10 at four, 3 at three and 18 at one) add up to 100, not the 90 the listing states elsewhere. The spec table also lists Smartphone, Tablet and Laptop as compatible devices, which sits oddly beside the bullet saying the monitoring is contact-free with no use of Wi-Fi. Everything on this page is taken from the Amazon listing, not from testing we have done ourselves.
How those 90 ratings break down
An average hides its own shape. This is the spread behind the 4.1 stars.

What buyers actually say
Quoted from customer reviews on Amazon
Verified purchase“I originally bought an owlet monitor but decided early on I would prefer a monitor with its own screen rather than using my mobile phone as it was just eating through battery life and I had to keep signing back into my phone to use it. Also I had some reservations despite security features at the video going via WiFi etc. Much happier with the Angelcare which was recommended by a friend - bought for their little one and still in use as a 3 year old with no issues. The image quality is good and it picks up sounds of baby crying but mostly ignores other small sounds which is useful. I'd like to be able to set the monitor screen to continually show video but alas the max is 5 minutes, however I can pull the video back up at the touch of a button. Certainly for is it has been a much better option than the more expensive original monitor.”
Verified purchase“Great item for monitoring baby in bed. Easy to set up and use. Has a great battery life. Easy to monitor room temperature and baby movements. I have used angel care monitors with my previous two children and this one is excellent. Screen quality is brilliant. Thank you”
