The TP-Link Deco XE75 Pro 3-pack takes third place in our mesh WiFi ranking, and it is the pick for a busy household — several people streaming, gaming and video-calling at once — because it is tri-band. The genuine benefit is not the "AXE5400" figure but the extra 6GHz band, which the units keep as a private lane to talk to each other. On a dual-band system that back-haul competes with your traffic; here it does not, and a full house feels the difference. It holds 4.5 stars over 3,547 ratings.
As ever, the headline number is the sum of the parts. The table gives 5,400 Mbps as a total but lists the top band alone at 2,402 Mbps; "AXE5400" adds the three bands (roughly 574 + 2,402 + 2,402) into one figure no device reaches. Coverage is quoted as both 7,200 and 4,500 square feet in different places, lab numbers reached only across all three units. A couple of small listing slips: the spec table records the generation as "Wi-Fi 6" when this is a Wi-Fi 6E system (the E is the 6GHz band it advertises), and it carries an "Antenna Location" field reading "Business, Home". Its Ethernet ports are gigabit. Everything here comes from the Amazon listing rather than our own testing.

What does tri-band actually get me?
A dedicated 6GHz band that the units use only to talk to each other. On a dual-band mesh, that link between units shares the same bands as your devices, so it eats into your speed; on the XE75 Pro it does not. In a busy, device-dense home that is the single thing that fixes congestion, and it is the real reason to buy this over a cheaper dual-band system.
Is "AXE5400" the speed I get?
No. It is the three bands added together. The spec table even shows the top band on its own at 2,402 Mbps; no single device connects to all three bands at once, and your broadband is almost certainly slower than one band anyway.
Is it Wi-Fi 6 or Wi-Fi 6E?
Wi-Fi 6E. The 6E adds the 6GHz band, which this has and which the tri-band design relies on. The spec table records it as "Wi-Fi 6", which is a labelling slip; the 6GHz band is present, as the "Frequency: 6 GHz" field confirms.
How much does it cover?
The listing quotes both 7,200 and 4,500 square feet, both lab figures reached only across all three units in open space. In a real home, expect less; three units cover a large house.
Is it worth more than double the Deco X10?
Only for a busy household. For a normal home the X10 does the everyday job for a third of the price. Pay for the XE75 Pro if you have many people using bandwidth-heavy apps at once, where the dedicated back-haul band earns its keep.
Does it have fast Ethernet?
The ports are gigabit (1,000 Mbps), so wired connections cap at gigabit. If you need faster-than-gigabit wired links, a 2.5G system suits better; for most homes gigabit Ethernet is plenty.
