The Synology drives are very expensive so I got a couple of 10tb WD Red Plus NAS drives and they are perfect too. Set up the whole system with RAID1 giving peace of mind and it was very simple to do. I also had an old WD cloud drive that needed 1tb of data transferred, it was simple to mount the cloud drive in the Synology OS as a remote drive then mat it on my laptop so I could literally drag and drop like and drive....
