Rank #4 in Best Pure Sine Wave Inverter 2026: 10 Ranked, and Why the Peak Wattage Misleads
Renogy 1000W Pure Sine Wave Inverter with UK Sockets and UPS
Price and rating as shown on Amazon when we collected them. Both change.
The Renogy 1000W Pure Sine Wave Inverter is a 12V DC to 230V AC converter with two outlets, a remote controller and an automatic transfer switch, and it sits at number 4 in this guide. At £113.99 it is not the cheapest unit on the list, but it is the one whose numbers line up: the title says 1000W with 2000W peak, the first bullet says "1000W continuous power and 2000W peak during load start-up", and the listing's own spec fields say Output Power: 1000 Watts and Peak Output Power Watts: 2000. Where the guide's other entries put a bigger number in the title than the spec field supports, Renogy's two figures match each other.
The odd field here is the one the rest of the guide also gets wrong. "Standby Power Shutoff" is filled in as 90, with no unit, in a slot that should describe consumption when the inverter is idle — 90 watts of standby draw would be enormous, 90 per cent is an efficiency figure, and the listing never says which it means. Renogy does quote conversion efficiency separately in the bullets as ">90%". Everything on this page comes from the Amazon listing as it stands, not from testing by us.

What buyers actually say
Quoted from customer reviews on Amazon
Verified purchase“Typically excellent Renogy product. I paired this with 2x Renogy 100 Ah lithium batteries and 2 x 120 watt solar panels in my camper build , primarily to charge an electric mountain bike with a 4 amp mains charger which it handles no problem . The remote switch panel allows easy operation and LED indication of status .”
Verified purchase“I thought it was a bit expensive at first but actually, it's worked flawlessly since I've had it installed which is only a couple of months.”

Questions people ask
Does the Renogy 1000W inverter deliver the wattage in its name?
According to the listing, yes. The title gives 1000W with 2000W peak, the first bullet says "1000W continuous power and 2000W peak during load start-up", and the spec fields repeat Output Power: 1000 Watts and Peak Output Power Watts: 2000.
What is the "Standby Power Shutoff: 90" figure?
The listing gives 90 with no unit, in a field that should describe idle consumption. The bullet quotes conversion efficiency as ">90%" instead, so 90 here is most likely that efficiency figure in the wrong field — Renogy does not state a standby wattage.
Does it switch between mains power and the battery?
The listing describes a UPS function: the grid priority function prioritises utility power over the battery and switches between battery and AC power in 50mS.
What kind of sockets does it have?
The model name and the title both specify British sockets. The output is listed as 230 Volts (AC) at 50 Hz, with 2 outlets.
Is it certified, and what warranty comes with it?
The description claims CE certification and a 2-year material and workmanship warranty, with customer service on call 24 hours a day. Note that the spec table lists the Energy Specifications Standard as ETL, not CE — the two fields in the same listing do not agree.
What is in the box?
Cable, Instruction Manual, Inverter and Remote Control, as listed under Box Contents. Model number R-INVT-PUH1-101235-UK.
