Rank #4 in Best CCTV Camera Systems 2026: 10 Ranked, and Three Listings That Contradict Themselves
Reolink 5MP PoE CCTV System, 8CH NVR, 2TB HDD
Price and rating as shown on Amazon when we collected them. Both change.
The Reolink 5MP 8-channel PoE kit sits at number four in this guide at £489.99. It is a wired system: an 8-channel PoE NVR with a 2TB hard drive built in, cameras that each run on a single network cable, night vision quoted at 30 metres, and person and vehicle detection handled by the recorder rather than by a subscription.
It is also the Reolink listing here whose numbers agree with each other. The title says 5MP, the spec table says 5MP, and the camera description gives 2560 x 1920 pixels — which is about 5MP. The 2TB drive named in the title is repeated in the third bullet and in the spec table's memory storage capacity. The one field that does not fit is "Night Vision", listed as "Thermal Sensing" while the bullet and the camera description both describe 18 infrared LEDs per camera with a 30-metre range. Everything on this page comes from the Amazon listing, not from any testing we have carried out.

What buyers actually say
Quoted from customer reviews on Amazon
Verified purchase“Really easy to setup having these operate via POE cable, the app downloaded quickly and was also easy to setup for my cameras. The colour images are very good during day or night. I can setup detection/alerts for vehicle, animals or humans or all three. The audio pickup is good, in one way but in windy conditions, it also can be annoying if very windy outside. No two way audio though, that would have been a good option but not on this system I bought.”
Verified purchase“So far an excellent cctv system & the app is a joy to use with excellent features. My one minor critique is the dome cameras could do with a way to lock thier final position. They aren't very loose but there is a possibility they could be moved either manually or perhaps in strong winds/heavy rain. But overall really great resolution & night vision at a budget price with easy to use interface & app. Well worth it.”
