The Amazon eero 7 takes sixth place in our mesh WiFi ranking, and it brings the range's signature ease of setup to Wi-Fi 7: the painless app, automatic updates and Alexa integration, now with the newest standard's peak speeds and better handling of crowded networks. For an Amazon household that wants the latest and does not want to fiddle, it is the obvious eero, and it holds a 4.3-star average.
The catch is what you pay for it, and what you do not get. At GBP 399.99 it is among the dearest systems here, yet it is dual-band, so unlike the tri-band Deco XE75 Pro it keeps no separate band spare to link the units. Wi-Fi 7's gains only appear with Wi-Fi 7 phones and laptops that almost nobody owns yet, so today the experience is much like a Wi-Fi 6 eero. As with the eero 6+, the listing is sparse — it does not fill in the standard specification table — and rates coverage at about 190 square metres per unit, so a 3-pack is quoted around 560 square metres, a per-unit figure multiplied by the pack. Its review pool is thin at 214, being new, and its breakdown carries a 10 per cent one-star share. Everything here comes from the Amazon listing rather than our own testing.

Is the eero 7 worth GBP 399.99?
Only for a specific buyer: someone who wants eero's simplicity plus Wi-Fi 7 future-proofing and is not counting the pennies. For most people the cheaper TP-Link BE3600 gives the same Wi-Fi 7 headroom with far more reviews, and the eero 6+ gives the same everyday experience for less.
Do I need Wi-Fi 7 devices to benefit?
To feel the Wi-Fi 7 gains, yes. You need Wi-Fi 7 phones, laptops or tablets, which most people do not own yet. Older devices connect and work fine, so today it behaves much like a Wi-Fi 6 eero, which is why the premium is hard to justify now.
Is it tri-band?
No, it is dual-band. Unlike the tri-band Deco XE75 Pro, it does not keep a separate band spare to link the units, so in a very busy home the back-haul competes with your devices. For a set-and-forget system in a normal home that is rarely an issue.
How much does it cover?
The listing rates each unit at about 190 square metres, so the 3-pack is quoted around 560 square metres — a per-unit figure multiplied by the pack, measured in open space. In a real home, expect less.
Why does it have some low reviews?
At 214 ratings it is new and lightly proven, and its breakdown shows a 10 per cent one-star share; some buyers report needing a bit of tech know-how to set it up despite eero's easy reputation. Most reviews are strongly positive on speed and simplicity.
Should I buy this or the eero 6+?
The eero 6+ if you want eero simplicity at a sensible price today; the eero 7 only if Wi-Fi 7 on the box matters to you for the years ahead and the price is not a concern.
