The NETGEAR Orbi 370 3-pack takes eighth place in our mesh WiFi ranking, and it is the cautionary entry. Netgear is one of the oldest names in home networking and Orbi is its premium mesh line, so a Wi-Fi 7 three-pack at GBP 249.99 looks like a lot of pedigree for the money: three units (a router and two satellites), a 2.5-gigabit Ethernet port, and NETGEAR's own firmware.
The problem is the reception this particular model has had, and it is the reason it ranks below cheaper systems. Its rating breakdown is the worst on the page by a distance — 54 per cent five stars, but 17 per cent one star and another 10 per cent at two, for a 3.7 average. A low score like that on a premium product usually points to setup frustration, app friction or firmware teething on a new line, and it is a warning worth heeding. Two other things temper the hardware: it is dual-band, so no separate band is kept to link the units, and despite the 2.5G port there is only one Ethernet port per unit. Coverage is quoted at 4,500 square feet, the usual lab figure across all three units. Everything here comes from the Amazon listing rather than our own testing.

Why does the Orbi 370 rank so low for a premium brand?
On the evidence, not the badge. Its rating breakdown is the worst on this page: 3.7 stars overall, with 17 per cent one-star reviews. That pattern on a premium product usually means setup or firmware trouble, and we rank on what buyers report rather than on brand reputation. A better-rated TP-Link or eero at similar money is the safer spend.
Does it have fast Ethernet?
Yes and no. It has a 2.5-gigabit port, which is faster than the gigabit ports on most systems here, but only one Ethernet port per unit, which is limiting for a premium mesh if you want to wire in several devices.
Is it tri-band?
No, it is dual-band, so it keeps no separate band to link the units. In a busy home the back-haul competes with your devices, unlike the tri-band Deco XE75 Pro.
How much does it cover?
The listing quotes 4,500 square feet, a lab figure measured in open space and reached only across all three units. In a real home with walls, expect less; three units cover a normal-to-large house.
Is it Wi-Fi 7?
Yes, so it has future-proof headroom, though the gains only show with Wi-Fi 7 devices most people do not own yet. Given the ratings, the cheaper and better-reviewed TP-Link Deco BE3600 is a stronger way to buy into Wi-Fi 7.
Should I buy it?
Only if you specifically want Netgear and are comfortable with the current ratings. There may be a good system underneath, and Netgear support is established, but at this price the evidence points to better-rated alternatives.
