The FOTING has the accessories a car owner actually wants: a built-in hose reel, a foam cannon, a 7 metre hose and a six-in-one nozzle, all for £109.99. Owners like it for exactly that, and one calls the hose reel a game changer while praising the foam cannon for pre-soaking the car.
The numbers are the problem, and they are worse than at our last check because FOTING now publishes its motor. The manufacturer's own table gives 1,600 watts. Take the title's 180 bar and 450 l/h and you need 2,250 hydraulic watts, which is 141 percent of that motor. Take the bullet and the specification field instead, 145 bar and 420 l/h, and you need 1,692 watts, which is still 106 percent. There is no reading of this listing in which the figures fit inside the machine, and buyers reach the same conclusion by hand. Judge it as a well equipped mid-price washer of perhaps 1,300 honest watts, which for a car is genuinely enough, and it is fair value. Is the FOTING really 180 bar?
No reading of the listing supports it. With the title figures of 180 bar and 450 l/h the machine would need 2,250 hydraulic watts from its published 1,600 watt motor, which is 141 percent. With the specification figures of 145 bar and 420 l/h it still needs 1,692 watts, or 106 percent. Buyers agree: one writes plainly that it is not 150 bar.
How many pressure figures does the listing give?
Four. The title says 180 bar, the first bullet says a maximum pressure of 145 bar, the specification field says 2,103 Pound per Square Inch, which converts to 145 bar, and the manufacturer comparison table says 180 bar again. The bar and PSI figures agree with each other; the 180 and 145 pairs do not.
Is it still worth buying?
As a mid-price washer with good accessories, yes. A realistic output of around 1,300 hydraulic watts is plenty for a car, and the hose reel and foam cannon are genuinely useful. Just do not buy it expecting 180 bar, and do not pay a premium over machines that publish honest numbers.
What do owners say about the power?
Mixed, in a way that fits the arithmetic. One writes that it is not 150 bar, and that it is good for cleaning cars, windows and furniture but not for dirty patios. Another says it is perfect for general yard cleaning but that he does not believe it is as powerful as described.
Does it come with a foam cannon?
Yes, and it is one of the reasons to consider it. Foam matters more than pressure when washing a car, because the foam lifts the dirt and the jet only rinses it away. Owners praise it for pre-soaking.
