It is the only listing in this ranking that publishes a rated pressure alongside a maximum: 180 bar max, 120 bar rated. The second figure is what the pump sustains while water is moving through it, and it is the number almost every rival leaves out entirely.
Run the sum both ways to see why that matters. At the advertised 180 bar and 480 litres per hour the machine would need 2,400 hydraulic watts from a 2,400 watt motor, which is 100 percent efficiency and therefore impossible. At the rated 120 bar it needs 1,600 watts, or 67 percent, which is exactly where a real pump sits. Scheppach has effectively documented what every listing on this page is doing: advertising a peak reached with the trigger shut. What is the difference between max pressure and rated pressure?
Maximum pressure is a peak, usually measured with the trigger shut and no water moving. Rated pressure is what the pump sustains in normal use. Scheppach publishes both, 180 bar max and 120 bar rated, and the rated figure is the one that describes what the machine actually does to dirt.
Why does that matter for every other pressure washer?
Because almost none of them publish the rated figure. Run the sum on the Scheppach maximum and you need 2,400 hydraulic watts from a 2,400 watt motor, which is 100 percent efficiency and impossible. Run it on the rated 120 bar and you need 1,600 watts, or 67 percent, which is normal. That gap is roughly what to assume whenever a listing shows you only one enormous number.
Are the 2,790 reviews for this exact machine?
No. Scheppach own comparison table shows the HPC1400, the HPC1600-KIT, the HCE2600 and the HCE3000 all carrying 4.4 stars from 2,790 ratings, and the individual reviews are tagged with four different model names. Those machines range from 1,400 W and 110 bar to 2,400 W and 180 bar, so the pool describes the brand rather than this product.
Does it come with a UK plug?
Several British buyers report that it does not. One describes finding a two pin plug and the wrong adapter in the box, leaving him unable to use the machine until an electrician friend sorted him out. Budget for an adapter or check with the seller before ordering.
Is it good for washing a car?
At its rated 120 bar, yes, and that is a sensible amount for paintwork. Be careful with the turbo nozzle, which concentrates the jet and is meant for hard surfaces rather than panels. The 5 metre hose is short for a car and means moving the machine around the vehicle.
Is the flow rate 408 or 480 litres per hour?
The title and Scheppach own technical table say 480 l/h. The Amazon specification field says 408, and the brand description on the same page manages to use both figures in different paragraphs. It looks like transposed digits, and 480 is the more likely figure.
